Ticiele de Camargo: Poetry and Cultural Exploration

Ticiele de Camargo is a Brazilian writer and poet from Porto Feliz, São Paulo, living in the UK for the past 20 years.

By the age of 11, Ticiele won the SARESP (School Development Evaluation System of São Paulo State) contest bringing the best essay on the theme ‘The Discovery of Brazil’.

Ticiele’s passion for literature and poetry encouraged her then to continually develop her writing style at the age of 11, with her first own writings in Children’s Literature. Curious by nature and an early dreamer, Ticiele self-taught herself in learning foreign languages such as Latin and English from her mother’s piles of books at home. Later on, she moved to England and Italy.

Ticiele has also studied Photography in London at the National Geographic Institute, graduated in BA English Literature and has a Master’s degree in Creative Writing, specialising in Children’s Literature, from Goldsmiths, University of London. Later on, Ticiele studied at Cambridge Judge Business School in Business Analytics and graduated in MBA Strategic Leadership and Management, by Pearson.

Ticiele’s passion for writing, travelling, photography and studying different cultures and languages is intrinsically linked with her identity and ability to see beauty and values, applied through her passion in exploring human agency in her works. Ticiele has visited 42 countries so far and had the privilege to display some of her photographic works in art galleries exhibitions across the globe; visit the exhibitions tab to find out more.
